Mary Poppins, Bundy and Emu Park

sunny 26 °C

What a lovely town Maryborough is, we found a park right in town for Pepe and Lucy and walked around seeing where PJ was born and Mary Poppins came to life. Queens Park was lovely with musical instruments to play and beautiful gardens. We arrived at cousin Sue's place in Sharon just 20klms west of Bundy about 3 and set up camp in her front driveway. Sue has a farm with over 130 animals from Horses, goats, cows, calves, chickens dogs and 1 cat! It's amazing, especially at feeding time. It's a lot of work but Sue loves it.

Spend 3 nights there, Dan cooked up one of his specialities, Spaghetti Marinara with local sea food, fabulous, went down well with a bottle of Prosecco. Headed off on Tuesday and arrived at Emu Park, east of Rockhampton. Glad we didn't stay in Yeppoon it was just a big coast town when Emu Park is a 10th the size. Tomorrow (Thursday 25th) we are going over to Great Keppel Island for the day. Lucky we were able to get on the smaller boat with only 4 of us booked (that was the minimum) so we should get some good snorkelling time in. Have attached some photos and will post more after our trip to the Island.
